/POISONING, Scorpion stings
Creatures with flexible tails that end in poison reservoir & sharp sting. Many species are not dangerous to humans with similar effects to a bee sting. However, highly venomous species are found in North Africa, South America, Southern USA, Mexico, parts of Caribbean & India. Their stings are rarely fatal in adults, but may be so in children. 


DIAGNOSIS: Witness sting by identified scorpion, acute pain & swelling at stung area, presence of sting, sweating, restlessness, {diarrhea} & {vomiting}. {Pulse} may be affected.


TREATMENT: Remove sting & apply cold {compress}, transfer to hospital urgently.
